One Year Fixed Term Contract -

Head Gardener,Jerusalem


Our Mediterranean Area is currently recruiting for a Head Gardener in Jerusalem for a one year fixed term. 

The Head Gardener is responsible for supporting the Regional Supervisor in the execution and co-ordination of horticultural maintenance in the cemeteries and plots. This will involve the day to day control of the staff in the cemeteries, ensuring that they , as a team, maintain the cemeteries and memorials to the standards speciifed by the Commission as efficiently as possible.

This will involve monitoring health and safety procedures, arranging the maintenance of horticultural machinery and irrigation systems and undertaking horticultural maintence work.

Technical Assistant, South Africa


We are an international organisation responsible for preserving cemeteries and memorials around the world commerating the sacrifices made by the Commonwealth forces during the two World Wars.  We are seeking candidates for the following position:

Technical Assistant (based in Pretoria/Tshwane, South Africa)

The purpose of this job is to assist in the structural and horticultural maintenance of war graves and memorials to the standards set by the Commission and to carry out inspections as requested.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

• A clean driving licence and ability to drive safely
• High level of written and spoken literacy in English and your first language
• Relevant experience working in a technical position or recognised technical/craftsman  qualification
• Good knowledge of horticultural and structural standards and practices
• Previous staff leadership/management experience

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

• Project management experience
• Administration experience

You will be required to provide documentary proof of permanent right to work in South Africa upon application for this position.
