Regional Supervisor - South East

We are currently recruiting for a Regional Supervisor to look after the South East as part of our United Kingdom Area team. Based either within the region or from Brookwood, this role covers Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex and Kent and is responsible for the Commissions largest UK based cemetery at Brookwood along with Runnymede Air Force Memorial.

Managing a team of 7 direct reports, including Head Gardeners and Skilled Maintenance Craftsman and an indirect team of 14 Gardeners a key element of this role is focused on the management of the regions resources.

The Regional Supervisor's (RS) role is multidisciplinary, the primary objective is to manage the regional team to ensure the continued commemoration of war casualties and the effective maintenance of graves and memorials in burial sites in their Region and to improve standards where possible.

You will need to lead and motivate a large and diverse team as the Commission heads towards its 100th year and provide coaching, support and guidance to the teams on all matters, including appraisals, performance management and recruitment.

You will have extensive previous work experience in team leadership and people management , along with experience of managing contractors, suppliers and third party stakeholders. With a good level of computer literacy you will be persuasive, diplomatic and able to communicate to all levels.

Experience in managing cyclical maintenance programs would be a distinct advantage, particularly from a Horticultural, Maintenance, Surveying or Facilities environment.

A full manual driving licence is essential, along with the ability to travel across the region as required.

Interviews for this role will be held at our Head Office in Maidenhead in January/February 2015.
