The Commission's day-to-day work is carried out by a
multi-national workforce of some 1,200 people, either engaged
locally through our Area and Agency offices all over the world, or
centrally through our Head Office in the UK for work both in the UK
and abroad. All but the most junior positions require a degree of
mobility and staff are expected and encouraged to work in different
countries during their Commission career.
Staff at all levels and in all disciplines are supported by
comprehensive training and development programmes.

Works and Structural Maintenance
Skilled Maintenance Craftsman
We are seeking a skilled maintenance craftsman to assist in
the structural and horticultural maintenance of war graves and
memorials to the standards set by the Commission, primarily working
as part of a two person team. This is a mobile role,
requiring travel, 3 to 4 nights per week are characteristically
spent away from home. This is a hands on manual post. The
successful candidate will show a common sense practical approach to
work and an ability to establish Commission standards in an
unfamiliar and changing environment.
