Visiting the Commission's Archive

We aim to be of assistance to those seeking information on the Commission and those it commemorates.

Our archive is kept at our head office in Maidenhead and is divided into documents detailing the development of the Commission (the Historic archive) and documents recording casualty and cemetery information.  Please note it will not be possible to offer public access to the Commission's archive whilst the Commission's offices undergo refurbishment from mid-September to April 2013.  During this time, please forward any requests for information to the archives staff at archives@cwgc.org.  We cannot undertake extensive research and there will be times when staff will not have access to the collection due to the refurbishment work; but within these constraints we will attempt to assist with enquiries as far as possible. The refurbishment will include a new area specifically for the use of visitors wishing to undertake research and will enable us to offer a significantly improved service to the public from April 2013.
