New 'Passing of the WW1 generation' website
To mark the passing of the World War One (WW1) generation, a national event will take place at Westminster Abbey on Remembrance Day, Wednesday 11 November 2009.
To encourage schools to support this significant milestone and to engage young people in the history of the WW1 generation and experiences of the passing generation, the Ministry of Defence (MOD), in collaboration with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the Imperial War Museum, are providing a range of engaging primary and secondary education resources.
