Turn right and follow the road/track for 1.4 km past and then around the mission station to its rear, past a water reservoir, to the right of a soccer field and the definite track leads to the graves 0.3 km further on.

Visiting Information

As the roads are very sandy, it is advisable to use a light truck to travel from the border post. It is also advisable to consult the Mission staff in connection with the position of the graves or the SA Agency, prior to a visit.

Historical Information

Nine of the graves are those of men who fell on 6 February 1917 in a punitive expidition against the Kwamyama chief Mandume. These graves were originally at Namacunde in Angola and were moved to Odibo in 1929.
