Location Information

Mataro is a town and port on the north-eastern coast of Spain, some 25 kilometres north-east of Barcelona on the Barcelona-Perpignan (France) road and railway.

The cemetery, also called "Cementiri Municipal dels Caputxins", extends over the top of a hill at the north-eastern extremity of the town. The entrance to the cemetery is at the end of the Cami Dels Molins and the graves of the 5 Australian airmen are located in niches in the north wall of the Seccio Nova (new section), which is a short way to the right of the main entrance. On entering the Seccio Nova, the niches are on the left hand wall. Parking is available outside the cemetery.
