Location Information

Borgo Val di Taro is a small village in the Province of Parma, in the mountains east of Genoa on the main road from Chiavari (on the coast) to Bedonia and Berceto. The road is very hilly and winding, and the village is about 66 kilometres (42 miles) from Chiavari. Once in the village, follow the road signs to the cemetery which is located east of the village, across the River Taro and up a small track on the right.

Inside the cemetery, proceed 46 metres straight forward to a flight of steps; half-way up these turn left up another flight of steps to a long terrace. 27 metres to the right of the top of these steps a plaque marks the niche where a single soldier of the British Army is buried.
