Location Information

The Kingston (Up Park Camp) Memorial No.1 takes the form of a screen wall standing in Kingston (Up Park Camp) Military Cemetery. The Memorial now commemorates 28 men who lost their lives in the First World War, 25 of whom still lie buried in Fort Augusta Naval and Military Cemetery or Port Royal Cemetery, but whose graves have become unmaintainable.

Visiting Information

Kingston (Up Park Camp) Memorial is within Up Park Camp Cemetery. This is located on a secure Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) facility and its maintenance is the responsibility of 1 Engineer Regiment. Visitors should report to the Military Police at the Main Gate South Camp Rd where an escort to the cemetery will be arranged. Visitors should note that depending upon the current threat level at the time of the visit, access to the Camp and thus the cemetery may be restricted.
