Location Information
Ligny-sur-Canche is a village and commune in the Department of the Pas-de-Calais immediately west of Frevent. The British Cemetery is north of the village on the road to Hautecote. Turn into the village from the main Frevent to Auxi le Chateau road (D.941).
Historical Information
The cemetery was begun at the end of August 1918 by the 3rd Canadian, 19th and 43rd Casualty Clearing Stations then posted at Frevent. The last burial took place two weeks later.
Ligny-sur-Canche British Cemetery contains 80 First World War burials.
The cemetery was designed by W H Cowlishaw.
