Forever India

Forever India tells the incredible story of the hundreds of
thousands of men who left their homes in the Indian sub-continent
in order to fight for the Empire. This DVD allows young people to
uncover the personal accounts and stories from Indian servicemen
and women who served and died. It will bring this neglected aspect
of our shared history to life in a refreshing way.
Glory Days

This website uses football as a lively and enjoyable means
of engaging young people in the importance of Remembrance and the
sacrifices made by professional footballers during the two world
wars. It features footballers David Beckham and Theo
Walcott.
One Boy

A 10 minute CD-ROM suitable for Remembrance Time assemblies.
Telling the story of a young British soldier killed on the Somme in
the First World War, it will also serve as thought-provoking
stimulus material for use in the classroom.
Some Go Early

A 12 minute CD-ROM suitable for Remembrance Time assemblies. It
tells the story of a young British soldier killed in Normandy
during the Second World War and the effect of his death on his
family, even now, and the chaplain who buried him.

Let Us Die Like Brothers

An award winning CD-ROM, suitable for Remembrance Time and the
study of black history. It tells the story of black South African
troops in the First World War, who sailed to France on the SS
Mendi. 607 drowned in the English Channel in 1917 when the ship was
struck by another allied vessel. Running time total - 20 minutes,
but divided into 3 sections which could be viewed independently.

A Debt of Honour

Narrated by Michael Palin, this 24 minute DVD documentary
outlines the history of the CWGC and its work through the First and
Second World Wars up to the present day. There is a French
soundtrack version too, as well as the option of English or French
subtitles.
Poets of the Great War

A most beautiful book containing extracts of poetry from
soldiers who were killed in the First World War - well-known and
not so well-known - along with a short description of their
military service and where they are commemorated by the CWGC. A
perfect taster for more detailed study.
