ITALY - SANTERNO VALLEY WAR CEMETERY

There are ongoing major works to replace the paving around the entrances to this site. Completion has been delayed due to extreme winter conditions. Visitors may have to use a temporary access point to gain entrance to the cemetery.

UK - TOWER HILL MEMORIAL

Sections of the World War Two Sunken Garden at the Tower Hill Memorial will be closed from November 22nd until mid-February for maintenance work. Access will be restricted at times and visitors are asked to follow signposted routes.

We have been informed that some visitors have experienced intimidating behaviour from a local resident when visiting this site. Please do not park on verges or cut across the fields which are private land or block any of the tracks.

People can access this site without any problem and can park in front of this cemetery. They should be made aware, however, that problems occur when visiting the neighbouring sites leading up to Sheffield Park; ie Serre Road Cemetery No3, Queens Cemetery and Luke Copse British Cemetery.

Should you encounter any problems, we recommend you leave at once and file a formal complaint:

Work on the new Sir John Monash Centre, to be located at the Australian National Memorial site near Villers-Bretonneux in France, will continue through to the official opening in April 2018. During this period, there may be short periods of disruption to visitors at the site and adjacent CWGC Villers-Bretonneux Military cemetery.
