CWGC signs historic centenary agreements

22 February 2013

The CWGC has signed agreements with both the German Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e.V. (VDK)  and the French Mission du Centenaire, symbolising our desire to work closely with our European colleagues, to mark the centenary of the First World War.

The VDK is the German counterpart of the CWGC and charged by the German Government to take care of registering the German war dead abroad.

The Mission du Centenaire was created in 2012 by the French government, to prepare and deliver a commemorative programme for the centenary of the First World War.

Further details on the agreement with the VDK can be found here and details on the agreement with the Mission du Centenaire can be found here.
