Rededication Service for Lance Corporal Coulthard

The Rededication Service for Lance Corporal John Antony Ronald Coulthard, Intelligence Corps, will take place at 1400hrs on 30 July 2015 at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Becklingen War Cemetery conducted by The Revd CJ Larrett MA Corps Chaplain. It will be attended by descendants of LCpl Coulthard and members of the Intelligence Corps.

LCpl Coulthard escaped from Stalag XXA with a fellow Prisoner of War but was recaptured. He attempted to escape a further 8 times and eventually died on a forced march across Germany. He was originally buried as an unidentified soldier but after new evidence was submitted, his grave was identified. 

The service has been arranged by the Commemorations team in the Joint Casualty and compassionate Centre part of the Ministry of Defence with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission providing the headstone.
