CWGC launches brand new Blog for 2016
06 January 2016
As we head into the new year, the CWGC is delighted to announce the launch of its brand new blog, the first of which you can read at the link below.
2016 marks another poignant year for both First and Second World War commemorations and we'll be bringing you behind-the scenes insights from the anniversary preparations.
We'll also address the operational challenges and progress faced by the CWGC during the period, and bring you thoughts from our senior staff on some of the big issues surrounding remembrance.
Our first blog comes from our Director General, Victoria Wallace, and details her personal response to comments about the behaviour of teenage visitors to Tyne Cot Cemetery & Memorial, Belgium.
Delving into our archives, she moves from considering the original design and intentions for the cemetery, to the challenges the CWGC faces in better engaging today's visitors.
Victoria will follow on from this in next month's blog, when she will offer an insight into the CWGC's future strategy and operational programme.
Follow this link to read the first blog, and get involved in the discussion.
