Progress of renovation work at Tyne Cot Cemetery

Due to the dry weather during the Autumn the start of our
big renovation project at Tyne Cot Cemetery was delayed slightly.
It got properly under way on 4 October however and has seen
more than 20 gardeners working daily on the site.
Currently the gardeners are closing in and replanting the front
borders, with 3000 roses and roughly 36000 herbaceous plants being
placed around 7500 metres of headstones.
Planting of shrubs and tree work, among other tasks, will be
carried out through the winter.
