14 more soldiers named at Fromelles ceremony
27 July 2011
On 19 July 2011, 95 years after The Battle of Fromelles,
hundreds of people gathered in the Commonwealth War Graves
Commission's newest cemetery - Fromelles (Pheasant Wood) Military
Cemetery in northern France.
Amongst those who paying their respects to the fallen were
relatives of 14 of the Australian soldiers, newly identified by
name from amongst the 250 soldiers who lie in the cemetery.
In this film, some of those relatives tell of what coming to
Fromelles means to them and we also hear from the man who has
overseen this complex project on behalf of the Commission.
