Remembrance Day 2011

Remembrance Day 2011 was marked at Commission cemeteries and
memorials around the world. In Belgium, events at the Menin
Gate and Tyne Cot Cemetery were held.
They are two of the Commission's most iconic places - Tyne Cot
Cemetery is the Commission's largest, whilst the Menin Gate in
nearby Ieper hosts the nightly Last Post ceremony. This year
saw special commemorative events taking place at both places to
mark Remembrance Day.
