The Ypres Salient - CWGC

The attacking Divisions of the main assault incurred almost 7,000 casualties in the day's fighting: 2nd Australian Division (I Anzac Corps) - 1,253 killed, wounded and missing; 66th (2nd East Lancashire) Division (II Anzac Corps) - 3,119, killed, wounded and missing; 49th (West Riding) Division (II Anzac Corps) - 2,585, killed, wounded and missing. The combined total for these three Divisions was 6,957. (See Military Operations.
