Awarded Nobel Prize 1923, Scott Medal 1924, Cameron Prize (Edin.) 1927, Flavelle Medal of R.C.S. 1934, Apothecaries Medal (Lond.) 1934, Starr Gold Medal (C.M.A.) 1936. Also served in the 1914-18 War.
