The British architect was born in 1886. A former captain in the London Regiment, he was appointed Assistant Architect to the Commission in 1919. He designed several cemeteries including Noyelles-sur-mer Chinese Cemetery and Arques-la-Bataille British Cemetery.

Noyelles-sur-Mer Chinese Cemetery
The memorial contains more than 800 graves of Chinese workers who were employed as labour by the British Empire during the First World War.
Arques-la-Bataille British Cemetery
The cemetery contains the graves of nearly 400 servicemen of the First World War, many of which were members of the South African Native Labour Corps (SANLC).
