Royal Air Forces' Commemorative Service

13 May 2018, 11am - 11.45am

Wreaths will be laid on behalf of the Commonwealth Air Forces and Ex-Service Organisations in honour of 20,458 members of the Commonwealth Air Forces who lost their lives in the Second World War while operating from the United Kingdom and North West Europe and who have no known grave.

HMS Neptune Association service and wreath laying

The HMS Neptune Association will hold a short service and wreath laying at the CWGC Plymouth Naval Memorial on The Hoe, on 19 May from 10.45am, in memory of all those who lost their lives on HMS Neptune and HMS Kandahar on 19 December 1941.

CWGC joins forces with Shrouds of the Somme to launch First World War legacy project

In collaboration with Shrouds of the Somme, the Commission is gathering stories and images for the more than 72,000 casualties commemorated on the CWGC Thiepval Memorial, as part of a major project commemorating Armistice Day in 2018.
