The service at Le Quesnoy Communal Cemetery Extension will remember the sacrifice made by New Zealand soldiers who served in this region during the First World War. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

After an enforced absence of more than 12 years, staff from the Commission have made a historic return to Iraq.

Today (15 June) marks 100 years since Edward Harold Brittain – the brother of writer and Voluntary Aid Detachment (V.A.D.) nurse Vera Brittain – was killed in action while serving on the Italian Front.

Friday (15 June) will mark 100 years since the start of the Battle of the Piave River. Fought between 15 and 23 June 1918, the battle was a victory for the Italian army against the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
