First wave of CWGC interns share their experience
From helping visitors at some of the Commission’s most well-known sites to meeting the royal family at commemorations marking the Centenary of Passchendaele, the first wave of interns to join the CWGC’s centenary programme share their experience as their three-month stint with the Commission comes to an end.
A community group visited the Commission’s Maidenhead head office to lay a cross on the memorial bearing the name of one of their casualties, as part of a project marking the centenary of the First World War.
Today marks the 75th anniversary of Operation Chastise, better known as the Dambusters Raid – one of the most audacious and technically difficult bombing operations of the Second World War.
