First wave of CWGC interns share their experience

From helping visitors at some of the Commission’s most well-known sites to meeting the royal family at commemorations marking the Centenary of Passchendaele, the first wave of interns to join the CWGC’s centenary programme share their experience as their three-month stint with the Commission comes to an end.

A burial service for four Canadian First World War soldiers will take place at 13:30 at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s Loos British Cemetery in France.

To mark the end of the First World War Centenary, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) has launched its “Road to Peace” project. The project tells 120 personal stories of casualties who died during the final 100 days of the First World War, from 8 August to 11 November.

An appeal for relatives is a search to locate the next of kin for soldiers who fell in war. Could you be connected to any of these individuals?
