Today marks the 75th anniversary of Operation Chastise, better known as the Dambusters Raid – one of the most audacious and technically difficult bombing operations of the Second World War.
A burial service for four Canadian First World War soldiers will take place at 13:30 at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s Loos British Cemetery in France.
To mark the end of the First World War Centenary, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) has launched its “Road to Peace” project. The project tells 120 personal stories of casualties who died during the final 100 days of the First World War, from 8 August to 11 November.
