Do you have any items related to the First World War? Would you like to share and preserve these objects and stories for future generations?

 In Rememberance - CWGC

Bradford City Hall, BD1 1HY
Saturday 2nd February, 11am-3pm

Do you have any items related to the First World War? Would you like to share and preserve these objects and stories for future generations? Bring your diaries, letters, photographs, memoirs, objects or stories about your family’s experience in the war to Bradford City Hall, to be recorded and added to our freely-available, online archive.

Our volunteers will be on hand from 11am to 3pm to welcome you and help record your story and photograph your objects. Local history experts and historians from the CWGC will be on hand to help identify objects and shed light on family stories and Bradford’s contribution to the Great War.

  • Bradford City Hall is 5 minutes’ walk from Bradford Interchange Station and 10 minutes from Forster Square Station.
  • There are several car parks within easy walking distance, including Hall Ings (BD1 5SD) and Broadway (BD1 1JR).
  • Limited disabled parking is available on Norfolk Gardens, adjacent to the City Hall.
  • Entrance to the City Hall for this event will be via the Civic Doors opening onto Centenary Square. Step-free access is via the West Doors on Channing Way (marked Register Office).
