Salonika Remembers

The CWGC, working in partnership with the British Council in Greece, has launched an exciting new project aiming to mark the centenary of the Salonika Campaign 1915–18 – Salonika Remembers.

It has been announced that a selection of Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) First World War cemeteries and memorials in France and Belgium is to be considered for world heritage status.

The relatives of two airmen from Australia, who died in England during the Second World War, are being sought as part of plans to name new roads after the fallen.

Over the coming months we will give you a “behind the scenes” look at how our new visitor centre – The CWGC Experience – is taking shape.
