Mon 19 April
Come along for a guided walk of the Commonwealth War Graves and Plymouth Blitz memorials in Efford Cemetery.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) look after the graves and memorials of around 1.7 million Commonwealth causalities from World War One and Two across the World. A large number of these casualties are commemorated across Plymouth. Come and explore some of those we care for at Efford Cemetery. Taking in a range of different War Graves and Memorials you'll find out more about the CWGC's work locally as well as internationally. We will also look at how the civilian casualties of the Plymouth Blitz are commemorated by the Commission.
Pre-booking required. Not suitable for those under 11 years old. Please come with suitable footwear for walking on uneven surfaces and a waterproof if the weather looks a bit damp. There is plenty of parking at the cemetery and we'll meet by the stone cross which is immediately behind the chapel.
