Keeping the stories alive - Non-Commemoration Project welcomes Brigadier David Williams MBE, ex-King’s African Rifles

The King’s African Rifles and East African Forces Association has generously connected our Non-Commemoration programme with a myriad of links across East and Southern Africa.

CWGC Director of Operations Barry Murphy receives a special commemorative book from King’s African Rifles and East African Forces Association President Brigadier David Williams.

We recently welcomed Association President, Brigadier David Williams to our offices, where he presented a commemorative book detailing the honours and awards from the two regiments.

The books also hold First World War Carrier Corps records which will inform our work for equal commemoration, and help us tell the stories of all those who sacrificed their lives in the African theatre of war.
