Grave ref G.CE.79. Died 24 June 1918, aged 32

Husband of Margaret Ann Coulton, of 5, Percy Rd., Greaves, Lancaster. Born in Milnthorpe.

Fred enlisted in the Royal Garrison Artillery in 1904 and transferred to the Reserve in 1907. Mobilised in 1914, he went to France in July 1915.

Badly wounded in France in April 1916 (GSW), he transferred to the Labour Corps but was discharged in May 1918 as being unfit for further service. He was also deaf due to shell concussion from 60 Pounder guns!.

Frederick died of Pneumonia at 3 Percy Road Lancaster.
