The history of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) incorporates the history of the 1.7 million men and women of the Commonwealth forces we commemorate, and the story of the successive generations of staff who have worked to ensure that their names will never be forgotten.

It is the story of every visit made to one of our sites. It is every search someone conducts on our online database and every query directed to our enquiries staff. It is your wonderful, continuing support.

At 100, the CWGC continues to modernise, adapt and collaborate. As a body funded by six member governments it caters to the needs of a global, inter-generational audience.

To mark our centenary year we are creating a legacy programme, embedded in communities around the world, moving us forward to our next century.

It will be delivered by our new charity, the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation, or CWGF.

Donate now and your generosity will enable the CWGF’s education and community engagement programmes.
