The history of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) incorporates the history of the 1.7 million men and women of the Commonwealth forces we commemorate, and the story of the successive generations of staff who have worked to ensure that their names will never be forgotten.

At 100, the CWGC continues to modernise, adapt and collaborate. As a body funded by six member governments it caters to the needs of a global, inter-generational audience.

To mark the Commission's centenary year we have created a legacy programme, which will be delivered by our new charity, the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation, or CWGF.

The Foundation will highlight the work of the CWGC, and engage young people from communities around the UK interested in the story of our common sacrifice and shared history.

Donate now or leave a legacy and your generosity will enable the CWGF’s education and public engagement programmes, including the extension of our successful intern programme from 2019.

You can make a one-off or monthly donation through your debit or credit card via Paypal. Every donation more than £100 will receive a letter of thanks from the Commission's Director General Victoria Wallace.
