Location Information

The Cemetery is located in the Talpioth district of Jerusalem.

Heading south on the Hebron road, turn left at traffic lights, signposted Talpioth. This is Ein Gedy Street. Continue up the hill on one way system and turn right at junction onto Kouroh Hadurot Street. The Cemetery is on the right hand side.

Historical Information

The cemetery was used from July 1918 to June 1920 and contains the graves of 79 Indian servicemen of the First World War, 1 being unidentifed. In a plot adjoining the war cemetery are the graves of 290 Turkish soldiers who died as prisoners of war in September and October 1918, 50 of these are unidentified.
