Location information

Stranraer Cemetery lies to the south-west of the town centre. If arriving from the East on the London Road (the A75) continue heading West on Hannover Street (the B737). This road becomes Sun Street and then after a mile turn left onto Glebe Street. After a couple of hundred yards down this road turn right into Park Lea Gardens and then take the left turn into Moorefield. The entrance is a couple of hundred yards down this road. The cemetery is a ten minute taxi journey from the railway station in Stranraer.

History information

There are 9 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-18 war here. There are a further 43 Commonwealth burials of the 1939-45 war, including 5 unidentified British soldiers. There are also 3 Polish airmen war burials here.
