ANZAC Day Dawn Service at Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France

Experience a moment of emotion and remembrance at our magnificent Australian National Memorial in Villers-Bretonneux Military Cemetery on ANZAC Day.

If there is an important date in Australia it is the 25th of April which celebrates ANZAC Day. This date commemorates the bloody Battle of Gallipoli in 1915 between Australian and New Zealand troops on one side and the Ottoman army. ANZAC is the acronym for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps referring to the troops from Oceania who fought in the First World War. Today ANZAC Day also honours those who lost their lives in the Second World War and in later military and peacekeeping operations.

Every 25th April, a Dawn Service commemorative ceremony takes place at our beautiful Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
