Corporal John Gordon Bower, 'A' Squadron, 8th Royal Tank Regiment

John was educated at Wrekin College, Shropshire, and married to Patricia Bower. He was the son of Wallace & Emily Bower of Holmfirth, Yorkshire. His regiment participated in the Italian campaign during which he was killed on Saturday 2 September 1944, aged 31. He lies buried within Gradara War Cemetery, Italy.
