

The Great Escape
One of the most well-known events of the Second World War was the mass breakout of allied prisoners of war from Stalag Luft III. Immortalised in film, this tale of bravery is well remembered, as are those escapees who were later recaptured and executed. Today they are commemorated by the CWGC. Tell us their stories.
