Limmen is 9 kilometres south of Alkmaar, and 28 kilometres north-west of Amsterdam. The churchyard surrounds the church, which is on the eastern outskirts of the village and some 200 metres east of the main Alkmaar-Haarlem road. In the north-eastern corner are the graves of airmen, from the United Kingdom and from Canada.
