Location information
Winkel is a village and commune 15 kilometres west of Medemblik, and 23 kilometres north-north-east of Alkmaar. The churchyard surrounds the church, which is in the eastern part of Winkel in the Dorpsstraat. The Private Memorial is located in the centre of the churchyard.
History information
Winkel Protestant Cemetery contains the collective grave of six Commonwealth airmen of the Second World War. The grave is in a central position and is marked by a private memorial erected by the local authorities.
