Kingston (Up Park Camp) Memorial is within Up Park Camp Cemetery. This is located on a secure Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) facility and its maintenance is the responsibility of 1 Engineer Regiment. Visitors should report to the Military Police at the Main Gate South Camp Rd where an escort to the cemetery will be arranged. Visitors should note that depending upon the current threat level at the time of the visit, access to the Camp and thus the cemetery may be restricted.
History information
The Memorial commemorates 12 Commonwealth casualties of both World Wars who lie buried in cemeteries or on private property in Jamaica, but whose graves have become impossible to maintain.
