Location information

Tallinn Military Cemetery (Sõjavae kalmistu), previously called Tallinn New Garrison Cemetery, is located on the southern side of the city centre, close to the bus station and the City Centre Cemetery (Siselinna kalmistu). The main entrance is on the southern side of the Cemetery off Filtri Road in the Juhkentali area of Tallinn. About 75 metres inside the cemetery entrance, to the right of the main path close to the old main entrance, leading to a military unit and Cyber Defence Centre, the war graves are located in a small curbed and gravelled plot, and are arranged in two rows. There are 15 Commonwealth burials of the 1914-1918 war in the Cemetery. Their graves can no longer be located and they are all commemorated by special memorials. 8 of the Naval graves (which are mainly post-Armistice) were brought in from the Old Cemetery. There is also 1 non world war burial.
