Location information

Dormans is a small town in the Marne department of France, 24 kilometres east of Chateau Thierry, and is located on the main N3 road between Chateau-Thierry and Epernay. The cemetery is to the east of the town by the junction of the N3 with the D18 road south to Igny-Complizy.

Visiting information

Most of the British graves are together in Plot B in the north west corner, but two are among French graves nearby in Plot X.

History information

Dormans French National Cemetery was begun in 1918 and enlarged later. All the Commonwealth graves were brought in after the Armistice one of them from Dormans Communal Cemetery, Marne. The cemetery now contains 22 Commonwealth burials of the First World War, ten of them unidentified.
