    Lt. Goodman defused and stripped the only intact Italian self destroying Surface Torpedo of the same type that killed a disposal team from H.M.S. Medway only days earlier, Lt. Goodman also stripped and defused the first 'Sammy' mine to be recovered in the Eastern Mediterranean and worked on many other types of mine on numerous occasions.
