Location information

The cemetery is located at Cape Collison Road, Chai Wang, Hong Kong Island. From the cemetery entrance, follow the road up the hill for approximately 300 metres to Plot HV3, and mount the steps to the terrace. The two private memorials are located in the rear row of burials immediately in front of the wall of cremation niches, the fourth and fifth graves form the end of the row.

History information

Hong Kong fell to Japanese forces on Christmas Day 1941 following a brief but intense period of fighting. Most of those buried or commemorated on the island were killed at this time, or died later as internees or prisoners of war during the Japanese occupation. There are two burials of the Second World War in this civil cemetery.
