History information
Gate of Heaven Cemetery opened in 1938 and is comprised of 31 rolling acres. It is the final resting place of many notable persons, including Premier Angus L. MacDonald. There are 25 Commonwealth war graves of the Second World War scattered throughout the cemetery.
