History information

The commune contained, during the War, No. 8 Veterinary Hospital and some French medical units; and the Extension (which was included in the Communal Cemetery after the War) was made by the latter. At the North and South ends of the COMMUNAL CEMETERY are the graves of five soldiers from the United Kingdom who died in 1914-17. The EXTENSION contained originally over 200 French, French Colonial and German graves. Two soldiers of the British West Indies Regiment and one from Canada, who died in 1918-19 are buried close to the old boundary of the Communal Cemetery.
