Historical Note
At the time of construction, the casualties at this site were commemorated collectively on a memorial within the cemetery without their names. The individual graves were not marked, although the names of casualties known to be commemorated here were included in a cemetery register. In 1999, the names of all identified casualties within the cemetery were added to the memorial.

Location information
Tul Karm (now Tulkarm) is in the West Bank area, 75 kilometres South East of Haifa, 65 kilometres North of Ramleh and 35 kilometres North-East of Tel Aviv. The cemetery is located just off the main road.

History information
Tul Karm was captured by the 60th (London) Division on 19 September 1918. It was then used as the site for No.15 Combined Clearing Hospital and the base for the 1st/1st Welsh Field Ambulance. An Egyptian Labour Corps Camp and Hospital came later.
The cemetery contains the graves of eighty unidentified men of the Egyptian Labour Corps, seven Turkish, three Indian soldiers (one of whom is unidentified) and one German soldier.
