Location information

The village of Kooigem is located 10 kilometres south of the town of Kortrijk on the N50 which runs between Kortrijk and Pecq. Driving from Kortrijk enter the village and take the turning on the left called Koninklijkestraat. The church is at the end of this street. Walk into the churchyard and the Commonwealth plot is on the right hand side of the church.

History information

Kooigem Churchyard contains 17 Commonwealth burials of the First World War. Two of these graves were brought in after the Armistice from Meuleken, and eight from a small burial ground close to the Churchyard. All date from the Advance to Victory in October and November 1918.
