Location information

The village of Soumoy is located north-west of the town of Philippville off the N40. From the motorway E42 which runs between Namur and Mons turn off onto the Charleroi ring R3, follow the ring to the junction with the N5 and turn onto the N5 direction Philippeville. Follow the N5 to the junction with the N40 and turn onto the N40 direction Beaumont. In the village of Daussois turn left to Soumoy, in the village turn left towards Senzeilles and the cemetery is along on the right. The graves are located at the right hand side at the rear.

History information

Soumoy Communal Cemetery contains the graves of an officer and five men of the 206th Field Company, Royal Engineers, killed on 3 December 1918, when the German ammunition they were salvaging exploded.
