Location information

Nieuwolda is 37 kilometres east of Groningen and 8 kilometres north of the main Groningen-Nieuwe-Schans road. The General Cemetery is on the south side of the Protestant church, which is in the centre of Nieuwolda. It is entered through the Protestant churchyard. The war graves are in the north-western part of the cemetery.

History information

Nieuwolda General Cemetery contains the collective grave of seven Commonwealth airmen of the Second World War. The grave is marked by a memorial erected by the local inhabitants.
