Location information

Hune is a small town in northern Jutland about 20 kilometres north of the port of Aalborg. Travelling south from Hjorring on the A55, Hune is signposted on a local road off to the right about 15 kilometres south of Lokken. On reaching the town centre turn right at the crossroads signposted towards the church (pictogram) into Kirkevej. The church can be seen half a kilometre away on the right hand side. The World War One headstones are adjacent to the boundary wall on the left side of the church and the World War Two headstone is immediately behind the church.

History information

Hune Churchyard contains the grave of one Commonwealth airman of the Second World War.

Two naval ratings of the First World War are also buried in the cemetery, one from the Battle of Jutland in 1916, the other (unidentified) whose body was recovered in September 1917.
