Location information

Inchy (or Inchy-Beaumont) is a village approximately 6 kilometres west of Le Cateau on the main road (N43) between Cambrai and Le Cateau. Inchy Communal Cemetery Extension is within the Communal Cemetery, which is on the main road at the Le Cateau end of the village. The register is available in the Mairie Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 12.00 and Friday from 8.30 to 12.00 and 15.00 to 17.30

History information

Inchy was captured on the 3rd October 1918. The Communal Cemetery Extension was made by the 17th and 33rd Divisions. There are now over 50, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site. All fell in October, 1918. The cemetery covers an area of 487 square metres and is enclosed by a low brick wall on three sides.
